Visions Event Studio Proposal Service

The month of February has been incredibly busy for Visions; we announced our brand new service, Visions Event Studio Proposal Service, ran an amazing contest giving one winner over $10,000 in prizes for a dream proposal, and were featured on NBC5 News on Valentine’s Day.  Whew, that was a lot in a two week period, but we had so much fun putting it all together, especially our TV proposal that was featured on NBC5 News.  They did a feature showcasing our proposal service and how hiring a proposal planner is a lot like hiring a wedding planner, only for guys!  We put together a fabulous proposal in less than two weeks and wanted to share the experience with all of our brides.

Samantha Moody had no idea that on Monday, February 13th it was going to be one of those days that would define the rest of her life.  She met me (Jenée) at a Starbucks down the street from the NBC5 studios thinking I was a reporter and she was going to be featured on the news for a Valentine’s Day piece on high school sweethearts.
As soon as we got in the limo from Southwest Limos, the rush came of “how much fun my job is as a wedding/proposal planner”, I was having the time of my life playing the part of news reporter all the while knowing that she was going to be so surprised as 5:30pm approached. I dropped her off to the girls at Michael Anthony Salon and she was thrilled to have the entire salon for herself.  She was treated like a Princess and was pampered by all the girls with hair, makeup and styling her wardrobe.

As Samantha was getting pampered, it was Visions’ time to put the planner hat back on and make sure everything was coming together at the venue, The Signature Room.  All the vendors involved made our job super easy by coming in, setting everything up and making the private dining room look wonderful.

Avant Gardenia had provided an all white color palette with her flower arrangements that matched perfectly with the design elements that Sugar Chic Designs brought in with her sweets table and the elegant chocolate truffle’s provided by Katherine-Anne Confections. The three companies were the perfect trio for the look we were going for.  After meeting with DJ (the groom) we found out that Samantha had a heart for the great outdoors and we really wanted to capture who she was in the design of the room.  Amy from Sugar Chic Designs nailed it with her ideas and bringing the outdoors in.
As I went to pick up Samantha from the Michael Anthony Salon, NBC5 News showed up and everything was falling into place.  The groom showed up on time (with the ring) and Brian Carey from Fig Weddings started taking pictures of all the wonderful details before the proposal began.

Samantha and I were greeted by Jason Edwards, one of Visions’ consultants at the foyer desk in The Signature Room and we were escorted down the hall where the camera man from NBC5 stopped her to give her a run down of how we were going to interview her.  Little did she know, her boyfriend DJ was in the room and the camera man was going to film her walking to the table as a distraction for DJ to take his place on bended knee.

Everything was perfect, she had no idea, and of course she said YES!  It was amazing to be apart of such an amazing setting for Visions Event Studio‘s first proposal for our new service.
